The North-South international transport corridor demonstrates stable work and growth in cargo turnover. Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev stated this during the session of the Azerbaijan-Russia intergovernmental commission in Kovsakan (Zangilan), Azerbaijani media report.

According to him, an increase in transit transportation was recorded in early 2026, including an increase in rail and road cargo transportation. Mustafayev noted that Azerbaijan is fulfilling its obligations under the agreements on transport corridors.

The Azerbaijani deputy PM reported also on the transit of cargo from Russia to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan. According to him, this is about 26 thousand tons so far, the main part of which is grain and fertilizers.
