US forces have attacked a ship in the Caribbean Sea suspected of being involved in drug trafficking. The US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) said three people were killed in the strike.
According to the respective statement, the operation was carried out Sunday on the orders of the SOUTHCOM commander, Francis Donovan. The strike was carried out by the Joint Task Force Southern Spear.
The statement added that intelligence indicated that the ship was traveling along known smuggling routes in the region and was being used to transport drugs.
