The growth rate of economic activity in Armenia decreased from 7.6 percent in January to 7.2 percent in February, according to the World Bank’s monthly economic development report for Armenia.

It is noted that strong growth was recorded in the industry and construction sectors of Armenia.

Inflation continued to increase, reaching 4.5 percent in March, mainly due to food prices.

Both exports and imports of Armenia recorded double-digit growth in February, after reductions recorded at the beginning of the year.

Net non-trade remittances increased moderately by 5.2 percent year-over-year.

A budget deficit was recorded in Armenia in February, equivalent to 0.2 percent of the projected annual GDP, but the two-month cumulative balance is still in surplus.
