Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, on Monday received Kevin Hamilton, the NATO Secretary General's new Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the office of the Security Council of Armenia.

First, the Security Council chair congratulated the special representative on assuming the responsible position, wishing him effective activity and new successes.

The interlocutors discussed the current agenda and prospects for development of Armenia-NATO relations. Grigoryan emphasized the positive dynamics of strengthening Armenia-NATO bilateral relations. In turn, Hamilton underscored the cooperation formed as a result of Armenia's engagement in NATO peacekeeping missions.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views also on regional and international security issues.
