US Vice President JD Vance will arrive in the Pakistani capital city of Islamabad on Wednesday for the second round of talks with Iran, according to sources close to the mediation process, Al Jazeera reports.

Vance will leave Washington on Tuesday evening and will be in Islamabad around noon on Wednesday. It is known that the talks will take place on the same day. The American delegation will be led by the vice president.

According to sources, several American military aircraft have already arrived in Pakistan as part of the respective preparations.

But Iran's participation is still in question. Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf had stated that Tehran does not accept negotiations conducted under threats. And this makes the holding of the meeting on the scheduled time frame even more uncertain.
