According to the Index of Economic Freedom of The Heritage Foundation, Armenia ranks 52nd out of 176 countries, ahead of EU members Spain (53rd), Romania (58th), France (65th), Italy (73rd), Greece (75th) and Hungary (79th), Armenian economy minister Gevorg Papoyan wrote on Facebook.

"The leading countries in this indicator are Singapore, Switzerland and Ireland. According to 2025 data, we [i.e. Armenia] were 57th, with 65.4 points (we have improved our position by 5 positions)," the Armenian economy minister added.
