The Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan categorically dismissed the recent statements by Israeli security agencies that individuals or organizations with ties to Iran have prepared actions against Israel's interests in Azerbaijan.

"The purpose of such statements is to create a divide between Iran and Azerbaijan. The Israeli terrorist regime is trying to sow hostility between neighbors in order to achieve its own goals at the expense of others.

This regime is constantly striving to expand the geographical scope of the conflict and bring the war to Iran's borders. That is why they have put the spread of disinformation and actions ‘under a foreign flag’ on the agenda.

This is evidenced by the available facts, including suspicious drone attacks in the direction of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the targeting of port and shipping infrastructure in the Caspian Sea, as well as attempts to destabilize the air and sea routes and economic activity in the region.

In the context of the above, it is necessary to resist the conspiracies and destructive actions of the Israeli terrorist regime aimed at the friendly and brotherly relations between Iran and Azerbaijan,” the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan noted.
