The navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has seized two ships that violated the established norms in the Strait of Hormuz and escorted them to Iranian territorial waters, Fars News Agency reports.

The ships, MSC-FRANCESCA—which is affiliated with Israel—and EPAMINODES, were seized for interfering with navigation systems and moving without permission. This posed a serious threat to maritime security.

“Undermining stability and security in the Strait of Hormuz is our red line,” the official statement stressed.
