The US administration has compiled a list of NATO countries that declined to assist Washington in the war against Iran, and is now considering possible sanctions against these countries, sources said, Politico reports.

This document was prepared ahead of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s visit to Washington, from April 8 to 12. It presents a summary of the contributions by the NATO member states, where these countries are classified by the degree of their participation.

The sources note that this list divides these US allies into useful and not so useful ones.

Earlier, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth had stated that the US allies that fulfill their obligations can expect additional privileges, while others will face consequences.

It is still unknown what specific measures are planned.

The US administration is keeping both the document and its future plans for implementation secret.
