Third President Serzh Sargsyan commented on the incumbent Armenian authorities' refusal to accept the agenda of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

Speaking with reporters, answering the question whether the Armenian authorities are trying to convince that if this issue is not among the priorities, we will live well, and asked whether this is pragmatism or oblivion, the third president noted that it is difficult to answer in one word—whether it is stupidity or betrayal?

"There is nothing to say," the former president added.

To the question whether the Armenian authorities will take any steps regarding the destruction of Armenian heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh, Serzh Sargsyan noted that they will not, and it is obvious.

As for the possible outcome of Armenia’s parliamentary election on June 7, the former president expressed hope that the scenario of the 2021 election will not be repeated.

"I really want it not to happen again," he said.
