Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows: [PM] Nikol Pashinyan, it is true, seems to have taken a timeout in his campaign against the [Armenian Apostolic] Church until the end of the [parliamentary] elections [on June 7], however, according to our information, the plan to destroy the Church is being steadily advanced.
We learned from a government source that the next step will be to strike at the financial foundations of the AAC [i.e. the Armenian Apostolic Church]. And they will do this not in the RA territory, but abroad.
They want to initiate legal proceedings against about 600 real estate properties—various facilities, productions of church items, charitable foundations, and accounts—belonging to the AAC dioceses scattered around the world. For this purpose, they have decided to use their loyal people living in the [Armenian] diaspora.
Now is the phase of gathering information—with the assistance of law enforcement agencies of various countries, they are collecting evidence on the "illegality" of the origin of these properties and companies, they will try to initiate criminal proceedings, take civil lawsuits to courts through Armenians who are citizens of various countries,.
With that, they will first paralyze the work of the dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church abroad and take away large resources related to legal and other services. They are promising high salaries and other privileges to those who will participate in the implementation of this Pashinyan plan.
Our source tells that the work of this intelligence phase is coordinated by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Armenia—in cooperation with the relevant services of Turkey and Azerbaijan. The deputy heads of the services—Arman Boshyan, Mutalu Tokay, and Zaur Ismayilov—are involved in the plan.
