Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei accused Israel and the United States of “scaring” the world for more than 20 years with statements about Iran’s nuclear program, according to IRNA.
Baghaei said that although Tehran is preparing for negotiations, “the country must be fully ready for any scenario.”
He also rejected concerns over Iran’s nuclear activities, stating that they have no real basis.
“Despite the 12-day war in June last year, a decision was made to enter a negotiation process, and in the latest round an agreement was reached on some basic parameters for an initial understanding— from their point of view, to address concerns, and from our point of view, to guarantee Iran’s nuclear rights,” Baghaei said.
