Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Alice Rufo, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs of France, and Aurore Berge, French Minister for Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination, the PM’s office informs.

The premier welcomed the visit of this high-ranking French delegation to Armenia, and noted that it takes place at an important time for the development of relations and cooperation between the two countries. Pashinyan noted that Armenia-France cooperation is currently at an unprecedented high level, and expressed confidence that it will further expand and strengthen in the near future. The Armenian leader emphasized the close dialogue with French President Emmanuel Macron, while emphasizing the Macron’s unquestionable role in establishing peace. The Armenian PM highlighted the importance of deepening cooperation between Armenia and France in various domains, including security, veterans, as well as human rights, combating discrimination and violence.

In turn, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs of France emphasizing that her country will continue to stand with Armenia in all areas, including the promotion of the peace agenda. Also Alice Rufo and Aurore Berge expressed their willingness to expand ties with their Armenian colleagues and share their experience in the above-mentioned areas.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the organizing of high-level bilateral visits, the European Political Community summit to be held in Armenia, as well as cooperation within the framework of the International Organization of la Francophonie.
