Today, we commemorate the victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide. The French Ambassador to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies, wrote this on his X page.

"Today, April 24, we commemorate the victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide, which was carried out 111 years ago," Olivier Decottignies wrote.

As a reminder, on January 29, 2001, France became the first major European country to give the recognition of the genocide the force of law, and in 2019, by decree of Emmanuel Macron, April 24 was officially proclaimed as the National Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide in France.
