UK ambassador to Armenia Alexandra Cole on Friday paid tribute at the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, laying flowers in memory of the Armenian victims, informs the UK embassy in Armenia.

“The terrible suffering inflicted on Armenians, through massacres and other crimes between 1914–1921, which we commemorate today, was a horrific tragedy. It is important to acknowledge this suffering and to remember those who endured it, as we work towards a peaceful and stable future for Armenia and the wider region,” Ambassador Cole wrote on Facebook.
