The Ministry of Economy issued an explanation regarding the situation related to the supply of liquefied gas in Armenia.

The ministry's respective statement says that due to the accumulation of vehicles and temporary logistical difficulties at the Upper Lars checkpoint on the border between Russia and Georgia, the entry of some trucks transporting liquefied gas into Armenia was delayed, which affected the normal rhythm of supplies to the market. This is not a complete deficit, but temporary interruptions in supply are possible at individual filling stations.

The respective state bodies of Armenia are in constant contact with importing companies and partner organizations in order to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and restore normal supply to the market.

The ministry added that the current liquefied gas prices in Armenia may be affected not only by logistical difficulties, but also by fluctuations in the international market due to regional developments. At the same time, the market is under constant monitoring, and the relevant authorities are monitoring the situation to exclude unreasonable price rises and possible speculative manifestations.

Work to regulate the situation is still in progress, the Ministry of Economy concluded.
