The Foreign Ministers of EU approved granting Serbia a candidate status, French FM Alain Juppe said Monday.
The experts consider that by making concessions on Kosovo, Serbia has increased its chances to join the Union - the main campaign pledge of incumbent President Boris Tadic.
Last December the EU summit made a decision on the issue. Brussels gave to understand that Serbia’s joining the Union depends on progress in normalizing relations with Pristina.
