ANKARA. – According to the statement released by the Turkish Justice Ministry’s Prison Department, there are 2,310 arrested or convicted foreigners currently kept in Turkey’s prisons.
Most such detained foreign nationals are the citizens of Iran, with 477, followed by the citizens of Turkmenistan and Georgia, with 165 and 122 respectively, Internethaber of Turkey informs.
Also, there are eleven citizens of Armenia who are currently behind bars in Turkey.
