YEREVAN. – Kazakhstan is a stable state with stable civil society, Kazakh Ambassador to Armenia Aiymdos Bozzhigitov said at a press conference on Tuesday.

The meeting with the journalists was devoted to the message sent by the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The Ambassador presented concrete statistics on GDP, which increased by 7.5 % last year, making $11,200 per capita.

“The main focus is the development is social direction,” the Ambassador said stressing the importance of optimal balance between economic successes and increase of well-being of the citizens. 

As for the development of stable civil society, the Ambassador said that there are representatives of over 140 nations and 40 confessions in Kazakhstan. There is the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, including Armenians, to coordinate the work. According to the latest census, about 25,000 Armenians live in Kazakhstan, but unofficially the number is larger. Armenians are presented in state agencies and business.
