YEREVAN. – First of all Azerbaijan must acknowledge pogroms of Armenian in 1988 and 1990 in Sumgait and Baku, MP from Prosperous Armenia Party Vahe Enfiadjyan announced on Tuesday.

“There are many historic facts about the pogroms in Sumgait. However, they have not received any just assessment by the international community. Human life has the greatest value,” Enfiadjyan said.

According to him, the international community must be alert in order to prevent such tragedies as the danger of them will exist until the international community and Azerbaijan have not assessed the pogroms.

At the same time, Larisa Alaverdyan, MP from heritage party, announced that those Armenians who found shelter in Armenia, do not get enough social support from the government.
