SAINT PETERSBURG. – An Armenian cross-stone (a stone engraved with cross) was placed in the International memory and fame path of Nevsky snout in Saint Petersburg on Thursday.

The cross-stone was placed in honor of the Armenian soldiers who fought for defending Leningrad, online47.ru reports.

This is the second cross-stone placed in Petersburg. The first was placed in the framework of the ceremonies dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Armenian community in Saint Petersburg.

Representatives of Kirov district and regional administrations, Armenian Diaspora and War Veterans were present during the opening ceremony.
