YEREVAN. – Armenia’s parliamentary opposition Heritage Party on Friday convened its seventh congress, but it did not examine the format for its participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Heritage’s congress adopted a resolution whereby, prior to the elections, it decided to “call upon the national and democratic forces and the entire civil society, to take bold steps toward a substantial consolidation.”

Also, the Party decided to hold a Board session, on March 18, endowing it the right to reach decisions in connection with the upcoming elections, and to empower Board Chairman Raffi Hovannisian to convene the Party’s regular congress following the parliamentary elections.
