YEREVAN.-  Russia’s foreign policy will not undergo considerable changes after Vladimir Putin is elected a president, said Armenian political analyst.

Style of leadership may change but not interests of Russia’s presence in the region, Director of Institute of CIS States Alexander Markarov said during the Moscow-Kiev-Chisinau-Yerevan-Astana space bridge organized by RIA Novosti.

Development of Armenian-Russian relations in different directions, political consultations, cooperation within CIS and CSTO and other organizations will continue. At the same time, the expert considers that Russia’s policy on the South Caucasus will be held in broader format and will not be limited to bilateral relations.

Director of Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan said that Armenia find important stability and predictability of the neighbors, first of all Russia.

According to him, Russia’s policy on Armenia and CIS will hardly undergo changes, as “the cabinet where the decisions are made will not be changed considerably.”
