Iranian Government announced starting the construction of ten uranium enrichment plants. According to Iranian media, the works on five facilities, to be similar to the one in Natanz will begin immediately. Tehran plans to produce over 300 tones of nuclear fuel a year.

Last Sunday, Iranian Parliament urged Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to reduce cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stating that nuke program is extremely peaceful, BBC reports.

According to Iranian Parliament speaker Ali Larijani, the US and other world powers started “outdated games” to pressure Iran by all possible means.

Ahmadinejad said that in order to generate 20 000 MW electricity, Iran needs 500 000 models of centrifuge that is presently used for uranium enrichment in Natanz plant.

NEWS.am recalls that on Nov. 27, IAEA board passed a resolution on condemning Iranian nuke program and demanded to shut down this project. IAEA Board members suggested Tehran to provide implementation of the UN Security Council resolution as well as transparency to restore confidence in peaceful nature of Iran’s nuke program.
