The first round of Abkhazia’s parliamentary elections was held on March 10.
The voter turnout was 44.5 percent, and the elections were considered recognized, RIA Novosti News Agency reported.
As a result, Armenian candidates Vagharshak Kosyan and Robert Yalyan became Abkhazian parliament members by receiving 58.59 and 50.07 percent, correspondingly, from their respective election districts.
The second round of Abkhazia’s parliamentary elections is scheduled for March 24.
