YEREVAN. – There were no positive changes to reduce pressure against journalists, they just were transferred to courts, opposition parliament Heritage group MP Larisa Alaverdyan told the journalists on Tuesday.

Her remarks came after Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said that the pressure against journalists has been reduced.

In response, the other participant of the conference Republican Party MP Hovhannes Sahakyan said that lawsuits filed for slander should not be taken as pressure.

As for Sargsyan’s new slogan for the RPA at the party’s recent congress ‘Let’s believe and change,’ Alaverdyan said she cannot understand what people should trust.

‘We should believe in ourselves to realize the changes. When you lose money, you lose nothing, when you lose a friend, you lose half of yourself, but when you lose belief, you lose yourself completely,” Sahakyan said in response.
