Representatives of the Armenian community of France met with presidential candidate Francois Hollande in his Paris campaign headquarters, Nouvelles d`Arménie reports.

During his meeting with the representatives of the French Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations, Hollande reiterated readiness to penalize the denial of the Armenian Genocide. He stressed that if elected he would present the relevant draft bill.

Francois Hollande said he stands for government’s participation in the construction of the Armenian Genocide memorial in Paris scheduled for 2015. He added that would pay special attention to non-resumption of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Earlier this month the representatives of the Armenian community met with incumbent President Nicolas Sarkozy.
