YEREVAN. – Armenia’s interstate highways and local roads are open, for the most part, as of Thursday at 9 a.m.

But there is black ice on some road sections, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.     

Selim Mountain Pass, the Berd-Chambarak and Gyumri-Bavra highways, and the local roads of several villages in the Aragatsotn and Gegharkunik regions are closed.

Snow removal and road cleaning are in progress.

And according to the data from Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway—which leads to the Armenian border—is closed, and the danger of avalanche continues.
