YEREVAN. – Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian on Tuesday arrived in Geneva, Switzerland, on a working visit, and on the very same day former Swiss President Micheline Calmy-Rey was ceremoniously awarded Armenia’s Medal of Honor for her contribution to developing Armenian-Swiss relations, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

“Over the past twenty-year history of the diplomatic relations, the relations between Armenian and Switzerland have reached their pinnacle in the recent years. They were reflected by the first official visits by the leaders of the two countries, [and] founding of Switzerland’s Embassy in Armenia. Our efforts toward strengthening the relations have given their results,” Edward Nalbandian said when presenting the Medal of Honor to Switzerland’s former President.
