MOSCOW. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan being on working visit to Moscow attended on Monday the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) Interstate Council meeting.
The leaders of member states, featuring Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, as well as leaders of the states having an observer status, featuring Armenia, Ukraine and Moldavia attended the meeting.
The discussions were directed to the re-establishment of the EurAsEC institutions and raising their effectiveness, as well as further development of integration processes within the Eurasian economic area.
Sargsyan will also attend the reception on Monday given by the Russian President Dmitri Medvedev in honor of the EurAsEC member states’ leaders, presidential press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
