YEREVAN. - Hmayak Hovhannisyan’s condition, who had sewed his mouth as a protest against his unfair conviction, is in stable but serious condition, the spokesperson of Armenia’s Ministry of Justice Gor Ghlechyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“He had sewed his mouth before his arrest and was convicted on January 26 after which he was taken to the Convict’s Hospital at once and he is there since then,” Ghlechyan said.

Hmayak Hovhannsiyan was convicted for using drugs and keeping weapon.

To note, he had left only a small hole in his mouth in order to take medicine.
