At the 8th European Political Community Summit in Yerevan, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer presented the main areas of discussion in which European and international leaders will participate.

One of the central topics will be the situation in Ukraine. Starmer emphasized that the consequences of the conflict are already visible, including in the energy sector, which makes coordination among the summit's participating countries particularly important.

"Today we will discuss Ukraine and what more we can do to support it and to ensure the lasting peace that we need," he said.

A separate block of discussions will focus on the situation in the Middle East, including Iran and security issues in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the British Prime Minister, these developments have a global impact and affect the economies and security of all countries.

"We are working on this with European and other leaders. It will directly affect all of us, because it concerns everyone," Starmer stated.

The summit will also address the issue of a European financial support mechanism for Ukraine. Starmer emphasized that the UK's participation in the relevant initiatives is of strategic importance.

According to him, such a loan mechanism would benefit several parties simultaneously: Ukraine — in obtaining the necessary resources amid the ongoing conflict, the United Kingdom — in terms of job creation, and also London's relations with the European Union.

These discussions are taking place within the framework of the European Political Community Summit, which has brought together leaders from dozens of European countries and partner nations in Yerevan.
