These elections are truly historic for us. Former Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan, who is the chairman and prime ministerial candidate of the Wings of Unity party in Sunday’s parliamentary election, on Tuesday stated this during their election campaign in Martuni city of Gegharkunik Province.
“We ourselves must decide who will become the [next] prime minister of Armenia. I ask you, do not let someone rule you; this is wrong for our country. I want you not to think about who this or that country wants to see as the leader of Armenia. It is we who must decide who will become the leader of our country. For me, it is of fundamental importance that Martuni, Gavar, Yerevan, Meghri, Kapan, Gyumri [cities of Armenia] make this choice; this is what matters,” Tatoyan added, as he addressed the Martuni residents gathered on a street.
