Speaking with reporters Wednesday at the National Assembly (parliament) of Armenia, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan commented on the fact that the incumbent Armenian authorities receive congratulations from many countries for the victory in the parliamentary elections on June 7, but there are no congratulations from the Russian side; moreover, Moscow says there were massive electoral frauds.

"The most important thing is that the people accepted the election results as free, fair, transparent elections, and the most important beneficiary of the elections in Armenia is the people of Armenia. I am sure that the congratulations will continue, and we will also hear congratulations from our dear, esteemed colleagues," Avanesyan said.

And regarding Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s statement of that Armenia should make a clear decision between joining the European Union (EU) and staying in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and also had noted that since Armenia has not paid its membership fees for a long time in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the relevant article should be applied and sanctions should be imposed on Armenia, the Armenian health minister said: “The prime minister [of Armenia] gave a clear answer. And on the night of June 7, he once again emphasized the answer, which I do not feel the need to repeat. The prime minister and the foreign minister [of Armenia] have clearly presented the position of the Republic of Armenia in this regard, and whenever the issue becomes a subject of discussion, Armenia will discuss this issue. Nothing is delayed.”
