The AMD-denominated bonds issued by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have been listed on the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX).

The listing ceremony was held on September 8.

Grant Akopian, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Converse Bank; Remon Zakaria, Head of the EBRD Resident Office in Armenia; and Hayk Yeganyan, Chief Executive Officer of AMX, attended the listing ceremony.

Grant Akopian, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Converse Bank, noted:

“The listing of EBRD’s AMD-denominated bonds on AMX is an important development for Armenia’s capital market. The issuance of such an instrument by a leading international financial institution and its availability in the domestic market contribute to deepening the financial market, expanding the range of local currency financing instruments and creating new opportunities for investors. EBRD’s AMD-denominated bonds were placed through an auction on the Securities Placement Platform of AMX. Converse Bank acted as the underwriter, arranging the bond issuance and the guaranteed placement of the bonds.

The total nominal amount of the issuance was AMD 5 billion. The bonds have a floating coupon rate, a maturity of 36 months, and semi-annual coupon payments.For further information:
