Google celebrates Wednesday the 78th birth anniversary of Robert Moog, an American physics who is the pioneer of electronic music. 

And on that occasion, Google prepared a special homepage doddle which depicts the Moog Synthesizer which the physics invented.

Robert Moog was born in New York City, and he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Columbia university. 

Also, he founded two musical instrument companies: R.A. Moog Co.—which later became Moog Music—and Big Briar.

Robert Moog died in Asheville, North Carolina, in 2005.
