YEREVAN. – Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will release a statement in a short while ahead to the first session of the new Parliament scheduled for May 31, spokesperson for the RPA Edward Sharmazanov told the journalists on Thursday following the RPA executive body session.

The party will continue taking steps for establishing cooperation with all powers. According to Sharmazanov, the upcoming statement will feature RPA’s readiness to assume the whole responsibility and realize those projects, which the voters have voted for during parliamentary elections on May 6. In addition, the PM and the Parliament Speaker will be appointed from the RPA.

As for Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s recent statement on not forming a coalition, Sharmazanov said that they respect the PAP’s decision as it is the party’s internal issue adding there cannot be surprises in politics. Regarding the issue whether the PAP ministers will preserve their seats, Sharmazanov recommended to conclude from the PAP’s statement.
