I believe that the concepts and procedures related to this issue are clearly described and regulated, and we will act exclusively within the framework of the approved regulations. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan on Friday told this to reporters within the framework of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, in Yerevan.
He noted this, referring to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s recent statement that there was an understanding that as a result of the border delimitation, there no longer be enclaves and exclaves in the territories of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“I listened to the press conference of Mr. prime minister [on Thursday], I think he gave clear answers to all the questions, I have nothing to add,” Grigoryan said.
To the remark that from the words of the Armenian premier it could be understood that there is already a certain agreement with Azerbaijan on this issue, Mher Grigoryan said: “There is no agreement. We publicize any matter that is formally discussed and on which there is a working discussion. Any meeting and any discussion on which there is clarity is public, it is publicized immediately.”
“In that sense, I think we have had probably 13 meetings, and for all meetings—either in advance or with the results of the meeting—there has been an official publication about the results. I can’t tell you more than that, because there is none. There is no work related to border delimitation that is outside the format, the format that you are aware of. If we had had a discussion on the issue of enclaves-exclaves, in fact, and the issue had the status of a working meeting or discussion, you would have seen a report where the answers to all questions would have been maximally disclosed,” the deputy prime minister of Armenia noted.
Mher Grigoryan added that he did not participate in the conversation between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, and therefore he does not know what they talked about.
“The prime minister himself has announced about his conversations,” Grigoryan said.
