U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff offered Armenian Genocide commemorative statement on U.S. House Floor in Armenian language.
In his speech on the 98th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Congressmen Schiff honored memory of dozen thousands of women and children who were massacred in the Ottoman Empire.
He recalled the children who were thirsty, women who were raped, mothers who were killed carrying newborns in their arms and those who survived the Genocide and came to America for a new life.
Adam Schiff noted that Turkey had been denying the Armenian Genocide for nearly 100 years.
“We are all Armenians today,” he said.
Rep. Schiff expressed confidence that Armenian Genocide will be recognized one day.
