YEREVAN. – Opposition activist Tigran Arakelyan who was released under amnesty on Monday said he had never felt himself “not free” even being in a prison cell.

“Nothing has changed. The country is facing many problems. There are still a lot of things to do. We will struggle till the end,” Tigran Arakelyan said, addressing the crowd welcoming him near the building of the Criminal Court of Appeals.

“I was illegally detained and was illegally set free,” he emphasized.

Arakelyan emphasized that the court was under the influence of public pressure especially during the last sessions.

Asked whether he would change the method of conduct, Tigran Arakelyan’s promised he would act more actively.
