YEREVAN. – No complications occurred during a brain surgery of Seryozha Avetisyan, the 6-month-old child wounded in Gyumri tragedy, neurological surgeon Vilyam Khachatryan said.
The surgery lasted 20 minutes, and the child is at intensive care department.
Khachatryan said the decision was made during the consultations conveyed on Friday morning by the leading local physicians and foreign experts. The surgeon said there is still threat of becoming disabled, but their task is to minimize the risk.
Khachatryan said it was a complicated surgeon, but the child is strong. He assured that the doctors are doing everything to save the child.
