YEREVAN. – A single wrong move may provoke people to take the streets in Armenia, leader of Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan said during the congress held with participation of non-government political forces.
People are losing patience because of economic instability, while the tragic incident in Gyumri and tension on the border with Azerbaijan are causing more concerns.
“We are standing next to the people, and we will force the authorities to realize their responsibility to the people. Indifference is a working style for some political forces . Many prefer to remain neutral. Meanwhile, we have initiated the formation of a unified regional headquarters, to be close to the people, to hear the voice of the people,” Tsarukyan assured.
However, he noted that the authorities do not rush to meet demands, including 12 proposals presented by the opposition.
Unless authorities meet people's demands, people will force them to hold early elections, he resumed.
