YEREVAN. – The United States is very concerned over violence on the line of contact, and expects peace and direct negotiations, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said in Yerevan.
“The Minsk Group Co-Chairs spoke about it, and I also talked about the need to stop bloodshed which is not beneficial to either of parties during my meetings with Presidents Aliyev and Sargsyan,” Nuland added.
The U.S. diplomat said progress was registered during her visit to Yerevan and Baku and expressed hope that peace will be established on the line of contact within upcoming days for the benefit of the servicemen and their families.
