YEREVAN. – The Operation Control Center of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received a call on Thursday at 1pm.
Accordingly, it was informed that there was a bomb in the basement of the Faculty of Physics of Yerevan State University (photo).
A firefighting brigade, a rescue team with a bomb squad as well as the rapid response and operative teams were dispatched to the scene.
The search for the bomb has completed and no bomb was found, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the scene.
“The rest is up to the police and national security,” Yerevan Rescue Department Chief Mushegh Ghazaryan told reporters.
The students and teaching staff have been allowed to enter the building, which had been cordoned off.
The classes have resumed at the faculty.
