YEREVAN. - Compared with the previous years, apricot harvest is abundant this year and farmers are able to sell it, many farmers selling their own agricultural produce told Armenian News – NEWS.am during the agricultural produce fair re-opened on Kasyan Street in capital city Yerevan.      

According to them, compared with the previous years, apricot will be cheaper this year, since the harvest is abundant. Artak Stepanyan, one of the farmers from Arbak village, said that during the first day of the fair he almost completely sold his product. “Currently it’s very hard for villagers to bring the harvest to Yerevan; we bring our product ourselves and sell it on this territory free of charge,” Artak Stepanyan said, at the same time expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that the fair is organized only at weekends.

Another agricultural produce fair will open on Mashtots Avenue in Yerevan.
