YEREVAN. – Chief of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, Gorik Hakobyan, saw nothing bizarre in the fact that activist Vahan Martirosyan was able to cross the Armenian border and go to Azerbaijan.
“It’s an elementary thing,” Hakobyan told reporters on Monday. “Everyone can cross the Georgian border, and these same people can pass into Azerbaijan.”
The NSS chief noted the aforesaid in response to the query on how Martirosyan could have crossed the border while charges were brought against him, and he was wanted.
Vahan Martirosyan, head of the “Intra-national Liberation Movement” NGO of Armenia, recently crossed into the Azerbaijan border, sought political asylum, and gave a press conference in capital city Baku.
