In the area of Yerevan Erebuni Historical & Archaeological Museum the archeologists have discovered the oldest pebbly street in Yerevan.

"We have been conducting excavations in the past 8 years. During the last years of excavations we discovered a pebbly street near the Western Wall of the God Khaldi. So far one could not see a pebbly floor in any Urartu monuments. It is a very exclusive and important discovery and can attract the attention  of a large number of tourists,” said the head of the Armenian- French expedition group Mikael Badalyan to the NEWS.am.

There are signs of an earthquake in the street, which , as archaeologists assessed, took place in the 7th century BC . In 30 -meter-long street one can see a cracked floor and deformed walls . In addition, the archaeologists excavated the main walls in the area of the pillared hall. They think that the walls probably belong to a structure that was used for worship.
