YEREVAN. - The Criminal Court of Appeals will on Friday publicize the ruling on the motion to change the precautionary measure enforced against Sasna Tsrer armed group member Pavlik Manukyan.

His attorney Inessa Petrosyan told journalists that Manukyan was to undergo an operation today, but because the decision on the motion to change the precautionary measure enforced against him was discussed today and he wanted to be present during the appeal by all means, he will be operated on tomorrow.

“As an attorney, I want him to be operated on in Erebouni [Medical Center]. Pavlik had pains: he was injected painkillers, since he felt bad,” she noted.

Pavlik Manukyan faces charges under Article 219.3 (Occupation of buildings, facilities) and 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices.) of the Armenian Criminal Code.

Manukyan and his son Aram sustained gunshot injuries in their legs as a result of the shootout in the area of the Erebuni police station.
