Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan welcomed CSTO colleagues in Yerevan.

Opening the Collective Security Council session, the President of Armenia noted that because of poor health, President of Kazakhstan could not arrive in Yerevan and wished him speedy recovery on behalf of colleagues.

Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that Armenia attaches great importance to the holding of the event and the Armenian side would try to do everything that the meeting took place effectively and contributed to the development of CSTO.

 Armenian President noted that it is necessary to discuss quite wide range of issues concerning implementation of the arrangements accepted earlier, to consider documents the adoption of which will mark the development in the near future. The president also reminded that that CSTO chairmanship will pass to Belarus.
