YEREVAN. - The heads of CSTO member states left Yerevan while ago.

The session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held in Yerevan on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who presided in the Organization for the period between the sessions of years 2015-2016.

The session addressed the process of implementing the decisions adopted at the previous CSTO summits, as well as the priorities set by Armenia during the country’s presidency at the CSTO.

In the framework of over two dozen issues set on the agenda, reference was made to the international situation and current issues related to the collective security, drafts of the decisions on developing the CSTO collective security strategy for the period of up to 2025 and establishment of CSTO emergency response center, issues related to the improvement of the activity of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, as well implementation of the decision related to the fight against international terrorism.
